If everything was as easy as it seemed
Then what would be the point in sleep and dreams
If everything we were was all just make believe
Then i choose to believe in fictional things
Allow me to share a memory or two
Of broken promises of things we said we'd do
When we were young, Dumb
but love would pull us through
And i don't want to cry
I know to you it is a past time
i don't want to say goodbye
If i had but one dream you would close your eyes and wish for me
and If i choose to believe i can not force how i want us to be
You are new we are new and these are new words to sing
Give me a chance and i will prove i am who i claim to be
----
So these are very fresh lyrics from my band Shoot The Moon. I felt like sharing something new. These lyrics are fairly different to my poetry which is part of the reason i wanted to post them. I will keep writing every day to improve my work.

An oldie (Untitled)
Your eyes so sweet and gentle
Re-writing the book of love
Indulging in a kiss too many
Your body flows like liquid, honey
If anyone has a name to suggest i am open for suggestions. I'm really loving the shorter poems recently. This is an oldie i dug out of my 'stash'. I think i was 16 when i wrote this for an English class but i can't fully remember.
I thought I'd share some useful links too
